Weekend Recovery have announced their forthcoming third album “Esoteric”, due to release May 2023 on Criminal Records.
Lead-off single ‘Chemtrails’ highlights the best of alt.pop – bringing equal measures of Lori’s straight talk and contagious vocal riffs, driving beats and a hyper-fuzz wall of sound.
It’s this mix that’s seen them on global playlists on Apple, Deezer and YouTube – with airplay from Radio X, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Kerrang! Radio, Planet Rock and as far as the mighty KEXP, Seattle.
The forthcoming single ‘Chemtrails’ is set to release 28th October and confronts the way news and social media brainwashes the masses, telling us there is a certain way of doing things and how people should fit a mould:
“As a female in the music industry the number of times I have been told I should behave a certain way is too many to count… or my favourite ‘You’re good at guitar for a girl’…”
Already completing a successful 20-date headline tour this summer, Weekend Recovery have broken through onto the major stages, performing at Kendal Calling and Bingley Weekender this year, and having recently supported Starcrawler on tour.
