We’re delighted to be able to announce that, in partnership with Corporation Sheffield, we will be hosting a special one-off co-headliner show feature the city’s own New Ghost and London trio Teiger!
New Ghost are an art-rock band from Sheffield, who make rolling waves of cinematic lushness, deftly blending genres including grunge, shoegaze, dreampop and post-rock.
The band are in the midst of readying their new album and will be performing material from it.
Featuring members and former members of innovative Sheff acts such as Firesuite, Gilmore Trail, Charm, Awooga, and Tekrar Eden, and for fans of Mew, Deftones, Deafheaven, Alvvays, and Beach House.
Teiger are a power trio from London, UK, touring their eponymous first album which is set to launch early September. With a sound meandering through quiet metal and bright acoustic rock, Teiger create a rich and melancholic atmosphere that’s both fragile and occasionally furious.
Supporting them, we have two very exciting and interesting acts.
Main support comes from Hyperpilot for whom this is their debut show. They are an instrumental alt-rock act with flashes of math and metal. Expect melodies, riffs, atmosphere and effects pedals. Oh, and it features numerous former members of Sheff legends Skyligers!
Opening the event will be the creative force that is Neuri (aka Mathew James Smith). Truly one of the innovative and prolific song-writers / musicians in our local scene, whatever he cooks up for the event will be a spectacle and an aural treat.
