Future Palace
Future Palace from Berlin have been proving for years that post-hardcore doesn’t have to be a label with limits, but is a space full of possibilities. In the music of singer Maria Lessing, guitarist Manuel Kohlert and drummer Johannes Früchtenicht, the angriest outbursts of despair whip against the quietest moments of resignation, rich instrumentals meet epoch-making electronic productions, blood-curdling screams contrast with sustaining melodies. With their always versatile artistic approach, Future Palace symbolize the highs and lows of human life, which form the central themes in their songs. The band creates intensive insights into the depths of inner struggles and talks about topics of mental health that are still far too taboo in society.
The fact that Future Palace, with their profound works, have quickly become an acclaimed alternative metal act in high demand across Europe is no wonder given their rousing art, but it seems all the more remarkable given the many adversities in the early days of their career. Their debut album “Escape”, released in 2020, had to face particular difficulties due to the corona pandemic that was raging at the time. Since then, many ever-growing concerts and tours have followed, including the ones with acts such as Electric Callboy and Annisokay throughout Europe, which unmistakably mark Future Palace as one of the most notable groups of our time.
The band was able to play their very first Europe-wide headline tour two years later with their second album “Run”, which has 40 million streams across all platforms. A majority of the concerts end up being sold out or upgraded. In 2024, appearances at many of the most important German and international scene festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Novarock, Greenfield, Summer Breeze or the Graspop Metal Meeting also proved that Future Palace are here to stay.
At the beginning of September 2024, Future Palace released their new album “Distortion”, with which they toured Europe again in autumn 2024 with many upgraded or sold out shows. In early 2025 they will do an encore with a focus on the UK & Ireland.
